Position Overview
The Vice President of Global Project Collaboration spearheads the development and implementation of the company's international collaboration strategies, ensuring cohesive efforts across internal departments and external stakeholders worldwide. This leadership role emphasizes strengthening organizational alignment, governance enhancement, and fostering growth through effective global partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and drive the global project collaboration strategy aligned with business goals and expansion plans.
- Design frameworks that facilitate smooth interaction among global teams, business units, and partners.
- Champion enterprise-wide collaboration standards, governance policies, and proven practices for international projects.
- Provide strategic counsel to executive leadership regarding partnerships and collaborative ventures.
- Lead multifaceted cross-departmental projects involving Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Success teams.
- Ensure clear communication, allocate resources properly, and oversee project delivery across regions and teams.
- Address cross-functional challenges and eliminate barriers to project success.
- Foster cooperative dynamics throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain relationships with global clients, technology partners, vendors, investors, and alliances.
- Discover and drive opportunities for joint ventures, strategic collaborations, and worldwide partnerships.
- Assist with contract negotiation and alignment on partnership agreements and joint project planning.
- Support long-term partnership development to drive innovation and business expansion.
- Set governance mechanisms to ensure standard project execution internationally.
- Track project milestones, budget adherence, timelines, quality, and performance metrics.
- Create executive dashboards and comprehensive project reports for leadership review.
- Ensure timely, on-budget completion of projects aligned with strategic aims.
- Identify improvements in collaboration, operational efficiencies, and scalability of projects.
- Champion digital transformation and corporate innovation initiatives.
- Promote knowledge exchange, ongoing improvement, and technology adoption for collaboration.
- Assess emerging technologies to enhance global project delivery capabilities.
- Spot risks related to cross-border collaborations, resources, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Devise risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans for complex projects.
- Ensure adherence to legal, contractual, and regulatory standards in cooperation with Legal and Compliance teams.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of global project and program managers and collaboration experts.
- Instill a culture promoting teamwork, responsibility, innovation, and continuous advancement.
- Define departmental key performance indicators, objectives, and leadership development paths.
- Manage budgets, external consultants, and collaboration tool platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Operations Management, International Business, or related disciplines; advanced degrees such as MBA or Master's preferred.
- A minimum of 12 years progressive leadership experience in global project management, strategic partnerships, or international operations.
- Documented success in leading multinational, cross-functional projects and driving strategic collaborations.
- Expertise in project governance, stakeholder relations, organizational leadership, and transformative business initiatives.
- Experience managing distributed global teams and international alliances.
- Exceptional skills in leadership, negotiation, communication, and executive presentations.
- Strong analytical, financial acumen and strategic planning abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Background in industries such as fintech, cryptocurrency, blockchain, financial services, SaaS, technology, or healthcare within multinational settings.
- Certifications like PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or SAFe.
- Proficiency with collaboration and project tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Planview, or Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Lean, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
- Experience facilitating mergers & acquisitions, global expansions, digital transformations, or enterprise modernization efforts.
- International leadership experience and multilingual communication skills highly regarded.
