Position Overview

The Vice President of Global Project Collaboration is charged with directing the firm's international project collaboration strategies, managing cross-departmental partnerships, and overseeing execution of projects worldwide. This senior executive role involves coordinating with company leaders, partners, clients, vendors, and stakeholders globally to ensure successful completion of initiatives aligned with growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement the global collaboration strategy in line with company goals and expansion plans.
  • Create frameworks that enable smooth interaction among global teams, various business units, and strategic partners.
  • Set enterprise collaboration standards and governance policies for international projects.
  • Advise senior management on strategic alliances and collaborative ventures.
  • Lead intricate cross-functional projects involving teams such as Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Success.
  • Facilitate communication, resource deployment, and project completion across multiple departments and regions.
  • Address cross-functional obstacles impacting project delivery and encourage teamwork during all project stages.
  • Establish and nurture strategic relationships with global clients, technology collaborators, vendors, investors, and alliances.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for collaborations, joint ventures, and business partnerships worldwide.
  • Support contract negotiations and collaborative planning efforts.
  • Implement governance mechanisms to standardize project execution internationally, including monitoring milestones, budgets, schedules, and quality metrics.
  • Develop executive dashboards and provide performance reporting.
  • Drive business growth by spotting improvements in collaboration, operational efficiency, and scalability.
  • Champion digital transformation and enterprise innovation initiatives, promote knowledge sharing, and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to international collaborations, compliance, resource management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory standards across borders.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing global team of project and program managers and collaboration experts.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
  • Set departmental goals, KPIs, and develop leadership programs.
  • Oversee department budgets, consulting partnerships, and collaboration technology platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Operations Management, International Business, or similar fields; advanced degrees such as an MBA preferred.
  • Over 12 years of escalating leadership experience in global project management, strategic partnerships, or international operations.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multinational and cross-functional projects and collaborations.
  • Expertise in project governance, stakeholder engagement, organizational leadership, and driving business transformations.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and collaborations across countries.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and executive presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical, financial acumen, and strategic planning skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in fintech, cryptocurrency, blockchain, financial services, SaaS, healthcare, technology, or multinational environments.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or SAFe.
  • Familiarity with collaboration and project management software including Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Planview, or Microsoft Teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Lean, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, global expansion, digital transformation, or enterprise upgrades.
  • International leadership exposure and multilingual communication skills highly valued.
