Role Summary
This full-time, remote leadership role is responsible for steering and improving end-to-end operations across JAFCO’s international footprint. The position covers manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and operational planning to keep quality high, supply dependable, and deliveries timely. The role also involves defining operational direction, setting performance measures, advancing continuous improvement, and ensuring operations support overall business growth.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the overall operations strategy across manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and planning functions.
- Strengthen performance by defining metrics, monitoring results, and driving process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with leaders across functions to keep operational goals aligned with broader business objectives.
- Oversee major projects and operational transformation efforts from planning through execution.
- Review and manage operational risk while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop scalable systems and efficient workflows that improve cost control and customer satisfaction.
- Coach and support operational teams to build leadership capability and execution discipline.
- Use data and performance insights to identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Strong background in operations management and operational excellence, with the ability to lead large, multi-site industrial operations.
- Solid supply chain expertise covering procurement, production planning, inventory control, and international logistics.
- Ability to shape long-term operational plans that support business objectives and growth priorities.
- Experience managing complex projects and transformation programs with structured execution and follow-through.
- Substantial leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, ideally in steel or heavy industry.
- Comfort working with distributed and cross-cultural teams, supported by strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Track record of using data to make decisions, measure performance, and improve processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a similar field; an MBA or comparable advanced degree is preferred.
