Job description
Role overview
ARO Ventures is hiring a Vice President of Global Operations to join its executive leadership team. This senior role is based in Los Angeles, California, with hybrid working and remote flexibility available. The position reports to the CEO or COO and is focused on strengthening how the business runs, improving process quality, and building operating models that can scale with the company.
The selected leader will partner with executive stakeholders to drive operational initiatives, improve organizational efficiency, and create frameworks that support long-term growth. This role calls for deep operational experience, strong leadership judgment, and the ability to manage complexity across a growing organization.
What you will do
You will provide leadership across multiple business functions, set operational direction, and establish priorities, governance standards, and performance expectations. You will help ensure company-wide programs and initiatives are delivered effectively and consistently.
You will track operational metrics and business performance indicators, identify trends and improvement opportunities, and share reports and insights with executive leadership. A major part of the role is using data and structured reviews to improve accountability and decision-making.
You will review current processes, introduce better workflows and systems, and support continuous improvement across departments. Where needed, you will also help build standard operating procedures and promote a culture centered on efficiency and operational excellence.
In addition, you will work closely with teams in operations, finance, technology, human resources, and other functions to keep strategic goals aligned with execution. You will support enterprise-wide coordination, information sharing, and collaboration across departments.
The role also includes designing operating frameworks that can support growth, planning for resource needs and operational capacity, and helping the company expand with the right infrastructure in place. You will identify business challenges and work with senior leaders on practical solutions.
As part of leadership development, you will guide operational leaders, encourage a high-performance culture, support succession planning, and promote employee engagement and professional growth.
Required qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Management, or a closely related field is required. You should also bring at least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, business management, or organizational leadership.
The ideal candidate has handled complex operating environments, led cross-functional teams, and worked on operational strategy, performance management, and organizational effectiveness. Experience with transformation or improvement programs is important, along with strong communication, analytical thinking, leadership, and problem-solving ability.
Preferred background
An MBA or another advanced business degree is preferred. Experience in technology, financial services, professional services, consulting, or similar growth-oriented sectors would be valuable. Exposure to multi-site, national, or international operations is also an advantage, as are strong strategic planning, operational analysis, and process-scaling capabilities.
Why this role stands out
This is an opportunity to influence company growth, improve operational performance, and work closely with senior leaders on enterprise-level initiatives. The role offers broad exposure to strategic planning, organizational development, and global operations leadership.
Core competencies
Global operations management, strategic planning and execution, operational excellence, business performance management, organizational effectiveness, process optimization, cross-functional leadership, change leadership, data-driven decision-making, team development, executive communication, and organizational scalability.
