About the Role

The Vice President of FP&A at Advita Ortho, based in Gainesville, FL, is a senior finance leader responsible for directing the organization's financial planning and analysis operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role plays a critical part in shaping strategic decisions, managing financial performance, and ensuring optimal allocation of resources across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CFO and executive leadership team to guide strategic planning, capital distribution, and important business decisions
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, long-term financial planning, and maintain rolling forecasts
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, providing transparency on liquidity status, financial risks, and opportunities to assist CFO in decision-making
  • Develop and sustain key enterprise performance indicators (KPIs), comprehensive dashboards, and detailed financial performance reporting
  • Lead monthly operational reviews by analyzing financial outcomes and identifying risks and potential improvements
  • Aggregate forecast data and financial results from all business segments for consolidated reporting
  • Act as the financial liaison to leaders in Commercial, Operations, and Engineering departments to support initiatives involving pricing, margins, and cost control
  • Analyze and report on operational drivers including volume, product mix, pricing strategies, and cost efficiencies
  • Lead financial leadership activities for new product development, capital projects, and business expansion efforts
  • Create and supervise complex financial models and analyses to back strategic initiatives
  • Enhance FP&A processes, performance reporting, forecasting accuracy, and financial systems
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage the FP&A team with clear objective setting and regular performance evaluations
  • Coordinate with Accounting to ensure financial reporting aligns with planning assumptions
  • Support the CFO during communications with investors, lenders, and key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, financial controls, and ethical standards
  • Participate in special projects or additional duties as assigned by the CFO

Qualifications and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required; Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years progressive finance experience with proven leadership in FP&A
  • Experience supporting global operations and managing FP&A functions in multinational contexts
  • Track record in building or transforming FP&A capabilities, particularly in private equity-backed, high-growth, or turnaround environments
  • Industry experience in manufacturing or medical devices is advantageous
  • Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis with ability to derive actionable insights
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial planning systems, such as Hyperion, NetSuite, or Adaptive
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organizational levels
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, hands-on management style
