Position Overview
DISA Technologies is currently looking for a Vice President of Finance to manage and expand the finance department amid rapid company growth. This leadership role reports directly to the President and is responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, accounting functions, financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, audit preparation, and enhancement of financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
The VP of Finance will act as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team, delivering insightful financial analysis, maintaining disciplined budgeting and forecasting, and providing operational support throughout the business. The successful candidate will develop scalable finance processes, manage board and investor reporting, enforce governance and compliance, lead ERP system improvements, and ensure readiness for major growth phases.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required; an MBA or CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance and accounting, with a preference for high-growth companies.
- Previous experience as a VP Finance, Controller, or senior finance executive is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with executive teams and produce board-level financial reports.
- Background in mining, industrial, manufacturing, technology, or capital-intensive sectors is advantageous.
- Experience managing finances for multi-entity or multi-jurisdictional organizations is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of U.S. GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and internal control frameworks.
- Proven success leading FP&A activities, encompassing budgeting, long-term planning, forecasting, and advanced financial modeling.
- Skilled in handling accounting operations, month-end closings, audit preparation, treasury activities, tax compliance, and regulatory adherence.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial tools; experience with NetSuite implementation or optimization is a plus.
- Capability to develop efficient finance processes, strengthen controls, and support company expansion.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders.
- Detail-oriented, discreet, reliable, and accountable professional.
- Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a fast-moving, venture-backed business setting.
- Experience in investor reporting and governance procedures is strongly preferred.
- Optional experience aiding IPO preparation is a benefit.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to travel as necessary.
