About the Role
We are seeking a Vice President of Experiential Marketing to join a rapidly expanding company revolutionizing out-of-home advertising through large-scale brand activations and immersive experiences. This senior leadership position, based in New York City with a hybrid work model, offers a rare chance to establish and lead the organization's experiential marketing division from inception, reporting directly to the EVP of Marketing. This role involves strategic development, team building, and delivering exceptional experiential campaigns for national clients in a dynamic and entrepreneurial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the experiential marketing practice within the company from the ground up.
- Design and implement innovative experiential campaigns including pop-ups, brand activations, immersive experiences, and large-scale events.
- Interpret client briefs into actionable activation strategies that effectively balance creativity, production logistics, and financial profitability.
- Manage all phases of campaign delivery: concept development, budgeting, vendor coordination, fabrication, permitting, logistics, production, and on-site execution.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Creative, Operations, and Finance teams to provide integrated solutions for clients.
- Take ownership of program budgets and P&L management, promoting operational efficiency and profitability.
- Identify, negotiate with, and oversee production vendors, fabricators, staffing agencies, and logistics partners.
- Recruit, mentor, and guide a high-performing experiential marketing team.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in experiential marketing, event production, or working within experiential agencies.
- At least 5 years’ experience leading teams and managing substantial experiential programs.
- Experience in media companies, experiential or sports marketing agencies, or production and fabrication settings.
- Strong skills in experiential production, vendor management, budgeting, permitting, and event logistics.
- Strategic leadership ability coupled with hands-on approach when necessary.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple high-profile activations and complex financial budgets concurrently.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client presentation capabilities.
Work Location and Schedule
This position is hybrid-based in New York City, with onsite presence required approximately three days per week.
