Job description
About Confido Health
Confido Health operates an advanced voice and workflow automation operating system within healthcare, integrating deeply into revenue cycle management, scheduling, prior authorization, and patient communication for high-volume specialty practices and multi-site provider networks backed by private equity. Our competitive edge is derived from our close alignment with operational complexities across multiple clinics, enabling us to build an unparalleled, scalable system that others cannot replicate. Currently, Confido is a fast-growing Series A company with $25 million raised, rapidly expanding its footprint in enterprise specialty care.
Role Purpose
This leadership role is critical to managing and scaling Confido's deployment engine — teams of Forward-Deployed Engineers (FDEs) and Deployment Strategists who are accountable for client success. The VP of Deployment oversees all activities following the signing of customer contracts, aiming to drive deployment speed, client growth, coordination with private equity stakeholders and executive buyers, and senior talent acquisition to sustain strong deployment teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the post-sales deployment process, ensuring positive outcomes for all live, expanding, or renewing customers.
- Manage the FDE and Deployment Strategist teams assigned to each client and establish measurable team objectives such as deployment speed, AI handling efficiency, validated ROI, and client expansion.
- Act as the primary escalation point to resolve obstacles related to systems integration, client processes, or product limitations.
- Represent Confido as a senior liaison in meetings with enterprise executives and private equity partners, conducting quarterly business reviews and strategic discussions.
- Convert deployment updates into impactful financial narratives that resonate with executive sponsors.
- Negotiate customized commercial agreements involving pricing, expansions, and multi-workflow engagements, providing firm pushback when necessary.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development for FDE and Deployment Strategist teams, ensuring rapid and effective integration of senior individual contributors.
- Create a repeatable deployment playbook to enable new teams to ramp up efficiently without redundant learnings.
- Manage weekly leadership meetings with company founders, prioritizing decision-making and escalation protocols.
- Produce high-quality recurring communications such as board reports, investor updates, and executive presentations without requiring founder edits.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Proven leadership experience in post-sales deployment or forward-deployed functions, preferably within startups delivering complex technical products to enterprise or healthcare clients.
- Strong credibility engaging with sophisticated customers, including private equity operating partners and healthcare executives.
- Deep operational knowledge of deploying technology into live customer environments rapidly and the ability to discern genuine obstacles from excuses.
- Experience hiring and developing senior-level individual contributors who are both technically adept and operationally capable in ambiguous, high-impact roles.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with readiness to manage P&L-adjacent responsibilities and prioritize results over processes.
- Background in healthcare or similarly regulated enterprise sectors is a strong advantage, with an understanding of the challenges in revenue cycle, scheduling, and prior authorizations.
- 8 to 12+ years of relevant work history, including leadership roles in startups that have scaled through early funding stages, especially with hands-on involvement in deployment and delivery leadership.
Compensation and Additional Information
The position offers a competitive salary range from $250,000 to $400,000 annually, along with equity and additional benefits. The role is based in New York City, requiring onsite presence, and involves 25-30% travel to client locations. Reporting is directly to a company founder.
