About the Role
Our client is a rapidly growing international retail group, known as one of the UK's largest and most admired retail brands, operating over 500 stores globally and rapidly expanding in North America. This newly established Vice President role for North America is central to their ambitious growth plans in this region.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and implement the comprehensive North American business strategy with full accountability for P&L, meeting challenging sales, growth, and profitability objectives.
- Enhance commercial performance by driving sales and market share via strategic merchandising, localized marketing initiatives, and focused customer experience improvements.
- Oversee all retail operational functions including evaluating store performance, managing inventory, optimizing staffing, and enforcing loss prevention protocols.
- Lead and develop a high-caliber team of regional and store managers by fostering a culture centered on responsibility and ongoing enhancement.
- Scout, assess, and support the launch of new store locations aligned with the company’s real estate strategy and expansion goals.
- Serve as the North American customer advocate by relaying market insights to the global leadership, influencing product, branding, and strategic decisions.
Candidate Profile
- Established retail leader with senior multi-site management experience in North America, demonstrating a proven ability to succeed in this market.
- Demonstrated success in expanding and scaling international retail operations within the North American landscape.
- Strong commercial insight, backed by significant P&L responsibility and an analytical, data-focused approach to management.
- Operationally adept, thriving on execution excellence and continuous process improvements in dynamic, rapidly growing organizations.
- Inspirational leader with expertise in driving performance and engagement across geographically diverse teams.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and other modern tools to enhance operational productivity and efficiency.
- Entrepreneurial mindset combined with strategic thinking while maintaining attention to operational details.
Additional Information
This role requires residency in North America (Canada or USA), with travel obligations to Europe. The position reports to the Global Retail Director and is entrusted with leading the complete retail portfolio across the US and Canada.
