Position Overview
Verra Mobility is on the lookout for a strategic and proactive Vice President of IT Operations who will oversee enterprise infrastructure, end-user computing, systems, database management, and service desk functions. This role is crucial for ensuring the dependability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency of global IT operations supporting the company's growth.
Key Duties
- Lead the strategy, design, and management of enterprise infrastructure including data centers, cloud platforms, networks, servers, storage, and virtualization technologies.
- Guarantee high system availability, capacity management, disaster recovery, and business continuity for central systems.
- Drive cloud migration, adoption, and optimization to enhance scalability while controlling costs.
- Create and enforce infrastructure standards, monitoring, and automation to minimize downtime and reduce manual interventions.
- Manage database administration, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management across various platforms.
- Ensure database reliability, integrity, and scalability to fulfill application and analytics demands.
- Collaborate with application and data teams to ensure database architecture meets business objectives.
- Oversee procurement, deployment, patching, and asset management for user hardware and software, standardizing technologies and licensing.
- Provide employees with modern, reliable technology and software experiences.
- Lead IT service desk and support teams to ensure fast, quality incident and request resolution.
- Set and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and continuous improvement practices to boost support performance and user satisfaction.
- Implement ITSM best practices including incident, problem, change, and request management supported by appropriate tools.
- Build and guide a high-performing IT operations team comprising managers and technical staff.
- Manage IT operations budget, vendor contracts, and relationships to optimize spending and value.
- Develop operational metrics and reporting to provide executive leadership with reliable performance and risk insights.
- Partner cross-functionally with application, security, privacy, and business teams to support enterprise goals.
- Foster process maturity, automation, and continuous improvements across IT operations.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 12 years of progressive IT experience including at least 5 years in senior IT operations leadership roles.
- Proven success in managing enterprise infrastructure, systems, databases, end-user computing, and service desk operations.
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, alongside networking, virtualization, and enterprise systems knowledge.
- Strong background with ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and operational tooling.
- Experience in team building, budget oversight, and vendor relationship management at scale.
- Excellent communication skills with capability to influence executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

- Advanced degrees such as a Master's or MBA.
- Advanced certifications like ITIL, PMP, or cloud architect credentials.
