Role Summary
We seek a visionary Vice President of International Product to spearhead the global higher education product strategy. This role is pivotal in ensuring product-market fit across diverse international regions by building and leading exceptional product teams, shaping innovative product roadmaps, and driving localization excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement regional product strategies that optimize content, platform features, commercialization, and revenue streams for global growth.
- Lead and nurture international product teams, fostering collaboration, mentorship, and alignment with McGraw Hill’s culture across distributed locations.
- Influence the worldwide product roadmap with compelling business cases and ROI analysis, balancing regional priorities within the overall vision.
- Establish and manage a cross-functional center of excellence for localization, overseeing content adaptation, platform tailoring, and go-to-market tactics to gain competitive advantage.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to extend product capabilities and market reach internationally.
- Champion a global product mindset by embedding regional insights and international education trends throughout the product organization and leadership team.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years of experience creating educational products on a global scale.
- At least 8 years managing cross-functional teams with profit and loss accountability.
- Expertise in EdTech product development including both content and platform components.
- Demonstrated mastery of scalable product localization methodologies.
- Strong skills in financial modeling and business case preparation.
- Experience collaborating directly with executive leadership and boards.
- Proficient understanding of AI applications, including evaluation of costs and benefits for implementation.
- Proven ability to lead organizational change in complex environments and deliver outcomes.
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- More than five years in higher education product space.
- Background working within or in partnership with major technology companies.
- Experience engaging with government or public education sector entities.
- Multilingual proficiency or bilingual capabilities.
