Role Description
Quicknode Inc. is seeking a full-time, remote Vice President of Information Technology to spearhead our global IT vision and strategy. This pivotal leadership role will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of enterprise IT systems, infrastructure, and tools essential for maintaining a highly available, secure, and compliant blockchain platform. Key responsibilities include leading and developing IT teams, strategically prioritizing and managing IT projects, and collaborating closely with executive leadership to ensure technology initiatives are aligned with overarching business objectives. The VP will champion IT governance, enforce security best practices, and manage risks, while continuously optimizing processes, budgets, and vendor partnerships. A crucial aspect of this role involves close collaboration with engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration between corporate IT, cloud environments, and customer-facing platforms.
Qualifications
- A robust understanding of Information Technology, encompassing enterprise infrastructure, networking, cloud environments, and advanced security protocols.
- Proven experience in IT Management, with a history of successfully leading high-performing, geographically dispersed teams and establishing scalable IT operations.
- Demonstrated capability in formulating and executing IT strategies and strategic plans that directly support organizational goals and long-term expansion.
- Exceptional Project Management acumen, including expertise in prioritization, resource allocation, effective stakeholder communication, and the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional projects.
- Previous experience in technology-driven or SaaS environments; a background in blockchain, Web3, or high-availability platforms is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with key compliance and security frameworks such as SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISO 27001, along with experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance.
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and change management abilities, with a proven capacity to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Advanced degrees or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CISM) are considered a significant asset.
