An employee-owned and well-established organization is in search of a seasoned Vice President of Human Resources to become a crucial part of its executive leadership team. This role is designed to establish and enhance leadership capabilities, nurture organizational culture, and develop scalable human capital infrastructures to support an upcoming growth phase. Unlike typical HR roles focused on compliance, this position emphasizes strategic leadership development and organizational readiness for expansion, working closely with the CEO and executive officers to shape the company’s future. This unique role also provides a pathway for advancement into a Chief People Officer position.
About the Role
- Develop and execute leadership growth initiatives targeting frontline supervisors, managerial staff, and potential future leaders.
- Establish programs dedicated to succession planning and identifying high-potential employees throughout the company.
- Design and implement scalable strategies for talent acquisition, workforce planning, and new employee onboarding.
- Create structured career development pathways, job classification systems, compensation models, and performance management frameworks.
- Drive organizational design changes that support ongoing business expansion.
- Promote a culture focused on employee engagement, retention, and performance excellence.
- Identify and integrate HR technologies aligned with the needs of a growing staff body.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to synchronize workforce strategies with overarching company goals.
- Lead and nurture a proficient HR team while assessing and enhancing organizational capabilities.
Qualifications
- Substantial, progressive experience in Human Resources leadership within operational and field-based settings.
- Track record of developing leadership development, talent management, or organizational growth programs from inception.
- Proven ability to collaborate directly with executive leaders on aligning HR initiatives with business strategies.
- Experience fostering managerial development, enhancing employee satisfaction, and executing effective succession plans.
- Competence leading HR teams and establishing scalable human capital systems.
- Comfortable engaging with frontline staff and operational leadership alike.
- Strong executive presence capable of influencing senior leadership and gaining organizational trust.
Required Skills
