Role Summary
The Vice President, Head of Corporate Solutions Business Development for Australia and New Zealand will spearhead Mastercard's Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF) transformation, focusing on modernizing how businesses manage payments. This role entails leading sales performance and expanding market presence in ANZ through strategic growth, issuer partnerships, and client adoption of card-based and multi-rail commercial payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Mastercard's Corporate Solutions sales in ANZ, driving commercial payment growth, revenue, and market share while meeting defined KPIs.
- Build and lead a talented team, promoting a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Formulate and implement strategies to increase uptake of Mastercard's B2B and Travel & Expense payment products.
- Establish and nurture senior relationships with issuing banks and treasury teams, guiding partners throughout sales and identifying scalable payment opportunities.
- Engage with multinational, enterprise, and government clients to understand procurement and payment challenges and promote Mastercard’s solutions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, Partnerships, and Account Management—to launch new offerings and partnerships.
- Prepare and deliver compelling business cases, proposals, and presentations for strategic opportunities and RFP responses.
- Maintain and convert a strong pipeline via disciplined forecasting and sales tools management.
- Expand an executive-level network across financial institutions and corporate sectors to support market expansion.
- Contribute to shaping Mastercard's Corporate Solutions strategy by identifying market trends and long-term growth possibilities.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive background in commercial payments, corporate cards, transaction banking, treasury, or related B2B payment domains.
- Successful track record in managing complex business development and sales growth initiatives with measurable revenue outcomes.
- Deep understanding of commercial payment ecosystems with the ability to develop and close deals involving corporate banking and treasury stakeholders.
- Proven ability to translate client requirements into viable business solutions coordinating with product and technical teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills to navigate complex and senior stakeholder environments.
- Experienced leader capable of building, motivating, and maintaining high-performing teams.
- Self-driven with strong ownership and results orientation in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
- Sound commercial judgment and disciplined pipeline management, able to meet aggressive growth objectives.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, adept at making complex concepts understandable and persuasive.
- Innovative mindset and willingness to challenge conventional approaches within commercial payments.
