Job description

Role overview

This opening is for a newly established Vice President of Growth Marketing position with a national business that manufactures and operates a marketplace for residential home improvement services. The role is designed for a leader who can direct the marketing function end to end, making investment decisions while also building the measurement system that demonstrates whether those investments are producing profitable expansion.

The position carries broad ownership across marketing spend, performance visibility, operating cadence, reporting discipline, technology strategy, and agency coordination. It is a hands-on executive role suited to someone who can balance strategy, analytics, and execution in a highly technical environment.

Core scope

  • Oversee the full growth marketing engine, including channel investment, funnel-stage allocation, attribution, incrementality, and performance reporting.
  • Set the standards for marketing measurement, reporting accuracy, and business-review cadence.
  • Lead agency relationships and ensure internal and external teams are aligned on outcomes and accountability.
  • Help shape market-launch playbooks and scalable acquisition systems for expansion into new geographies.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the marketing P&L and the overall growth strategy for the function.
  • Distribute budget across channels based on measurable incremental contribution.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, accountability rules, and executive reporting routines.
  • Serve as the primary marketing advisor to the executive team.
  • Maintain detailed change tracking across campaigns, audiences, creative, automation, and tracking setups.
  • Put monitoring and alerts in place so tracking or measurement problems are caught quickly.
  • Interpret material shifts in performance within hours rather than waiting weeks.
  • Reconcile data across ad platforms, CRM, call tracking, appointment systems, and revenue reporting.
  • Keep reporting dependable, actionable, and trusted across the business.
  • Own investment decisions for all paid channels.
  • Design and review incrementality tests, geo holdouts, and attribution approaches.
  • Improve CAC, payback, and LTV performance.
  • Define, validate, and defend marketing-sourced revenue metrics.
  • Partner with measurement specialists while retaining executive decision-making authority.
  • Define lifecycle stages, customer journeys, tracking rules, and conversion events.
  • Build lead-routing and lead-scoring logic.
  • Own reporting architecture and measurement standards.
  • Ensure systems proactively surface issues before they impact performance.
  • Run weekly marketing operating reviews and hold teams accountable for results.
  • Manage creative, media, and measurement agencies, as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Shift suitable work from agencies into AI-enabled internal processes where appropriate.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Brand leaders.
  • Create repeatable go-to-market plans for entering new markets.
  • Develop scalable frameworks for paid acquisition and optimization.
  • Execute growth initiatives while staying within brand guidelines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading a marketing organization with strong operational discipline and rigorous measurement.
  • Track record of managing at least $5M in annual paid media spend with full P&L responsibility.
  • Deep knowledge of incrementality testing, attribution, marketing mix modeling, and performance measurement.
  • Strong practical understanding of server-side tracking, conversion APIs, call tracking, lead capture systems, identity resolution, and marketing data architecture.
  • Experience running marketing operations and managing agency partners.
  • Background in high-consideration, high-ticket consumer sectors such as home services, insurance, automotive, real estate, healthcare, or financial services.
  • Comfortable using AI tools directly for marketing optimization, measurement, and operational workflows.
  • Ability to work effectively in a lean, highly technical organization.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary range is $200,000 to $250,000, depending on experience. In addition, there is an annual performance incentive tied to company and marketing results, with the opportunity to earn meaningful extra compensation by meeting aggressive targets for revenue, profitability, and customer acquisition.

Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid vacation, company holidays, a flexible PTO structure, executive-level autonomy with direct access to leadership, the chance to build an AI-native marketing organization from the ground up, and strong long-term growth potential through a role that shapes the company’s growth strategy.
