Position Overview
This executive leadership position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Group Commercial Operations & Execution and is charged with leading ADNOC Group's Category Management division. The role focuses on managing significant, business-critical categories to foster cost-efficient procurement, enhance performance, and drive sustainable value creation throughout the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and execute comprehensive Group-wide Category Management and Market Intelligence activities, ensuring disciplined implementation, significant financial savings, and alignment with ADNOC's overarching business objectives.
- Form and guide cross-functional category teams comprising Technical and Procurement professionals to craft category strategies, identify sourcing opportunities, refine contracting approaches, and establish supplier performance metrics.
- Manage all facets of tendering processes, commercial assessments, contract governance, modifications, claims handling, and compliance oversight to guarantee transparency and meet business needs effectively.
- Champion operational excellence within procurement, enhance procurement capabilities, align stakeholders, optimize costs, mitigate risks, and promote continuous improvement across the ADNOC procurement ecosystem.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 18 years’ experience in Contracts Management within large-scale Oil & Gas companies, including at least 10 years occupying progressively senior managerial roles.
- Demonstrate expert proficiency in Category Management, contract administration, tendering best practices, governance of procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier oversight.
- Exhibit strong skills in contract negotiations, commercial evaluations, dispute resolution, stakeholder engagement, and strategic decision making.
- Bring a comprehensive understanding of the global Oil & Gas market coupled with experience utilizing procurement frameworks such as Kraljic Matrix, Porter’s Five Forces, Purchasing Chessboard, and other category strategy methodologies.
