Role Purpose
The Vice President of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) oversees all GSE operations within our Americas division. This senior leadership position is responsible for strategic direction, standardization of maintenance practices, and ongoing advancement of Ground Support Equipment management. The role leads GSE maintenance teams, ensures regulatory compliance, and manages capital investment and procurement plans related to GSE assets. The position is based in Fort Lauderdale or another primary U.S. Menzies Aviation office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all GSE maintenance activities to achieve high standards of safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and implement consistent maintenance programs, policies, procedures, and key performance indicators across all sites.
- Mentor and develop maintenance leaders and technical staff to foster a culture prioritizing safety and operational excellence.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Use engineering knowledge to enhance equipment reliability, optimize asset life cycles, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with operations, safety, and procurement teams to standardize equipment and implement technical best practices.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is mandatory; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Extensive leadership experience in GSE maintenance or comparable heavy equipment technical services.
- Proven senior management background overseeing large, multi-location technical or maintenance teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of GSE maintenance, asset management, and compliance standards.
- Experience with capital budgeting, procurement strategies, and managing supplier relationships.
- A demonstrated history of expanding business operations and scaling commercial activities.
