About the role
Cherry Technologies is hiring a senior project leadership executive to direct global planning, delivery, and governance for complex programs across the business. The position focuses on creating consistent project management standards, improving delivery efficiency, strengthening collaboration across functions, and making sure strategic initiatives are completed on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
This role is best suited to a highly driven leader with deep experience managing major international initiatives, building and guiding strong teams, and delivering clear business results.
Key responsibilities
- Set and drive the company’s global project management approach and governance model.
- Own enterprise project portfolios and keep them aligned with business priorities and growth plans.
- Manage project planning, delivery, staffing, budgeting, risk controls, and performance tracking.
- Build, maintain, and improve project management frameworks, standards, tools, and operating practices.
- Partner with senior leaders to rank strategic initiatives and deploy resources efficiently.
- Track milestones, outputs, budgets, and schedules to keep programs on course.
- Spot delivery risks early and implement actions that reduce disruption.
- Continuously improve project execution methods and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Create executive-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations on portfolio status and project health.
- Coach and lead project managers, program managers, and PMO professionals across several regions.
- Promote strong collaboration across operations, technology, finance, product, and business functions.
- Help drive transformation, expansion, and digital innovation efforts.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, or a similar discipline is required.
- An MBA or other advanced qualification is preferred.
- At least 20 years of experience in project management, program management, business transformation, or operational leadership is needed.
- Minimum 15 years in leadership roles overseeing project teams and enterprise-scale initiatives.
- Demonstrated success leading large global projects and cross-functional programs.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, portfolio oversight, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Excellent analytical ability, sound judgment, and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Strong capabilities in leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent are a plus.
- Background in fintech, financial services, technology, SaaS, consulting, or multinational companies is preferred.
- Experience with PMO governance, process improvement, and organizational change management is valuable.
- Prior work leading distributed teams and international projects is preferred.
