Role Overview

This executive-level position leads the strategic development and management of global facilities, physical security, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs within a fast-growing, innovation-focused organization headquartered in the United States. The VP will supervise a diverse real estate portfolio, technical facilities, and essential infrastructure supporting advanced research and business functions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement global strategies for facilities and real estate that support organizational growth and operational goals.
  • Manage site selection processes, lease agreements, capital improvement projects, portfolio efficiency, and long-term asset planning.
  • Oversee the development, operation, and maintenance of specialized technical facilities such as laboratories and cleanrooms.
  • Ensure critical infrastructure reliability including HVAC, electrical power, and advanced equipment environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and research teams to facilitate complex operational and facility requirements.
  • Set standards for maintenance programs, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and vendor performance management.
  • Develop and lead company-wide physical security initiatives including access control, surveillance systems, incident response, and risk reduction.
  • Safeguard employees, intellectual property, and vital assets through robust security governance and enterprise risk strategies.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive HSE program that complies with regulatory requirements and promotes best safety practices.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture by conducting risk assessments, audits, training, and continual improvement projects.
  • Lead and expand a high-performing global team across facilities, security, and HSE domains.
  • Create governance frameworks, define operational KPIs, policies, and reporting systems to enhance accountability and performance.
  • Oversee budgeting, capital investments, strategic vendor relationships, and executive initiatives related to infrastructure and workplace management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, or related technical discipline.
  • Over 20 years of advancing leadership experience in facilities, security, health and safety, environment, or related operations.
  • Proven track record managing global, multi-location operations within technologically advanced or regulated industries.
  • Experience directing large-scale facilities programs, capital projects, and strategic infrastructure development.
  • In-depth understanding of global regulatory standards such as OSHA, ISO, and environmental compliance mandates.
  • Expertise in supporting complex environments including research labs, semiconductor manufacturing, and equivalent technical operations.
  • Strong knowledge of physical security, enterprise risk management, and organizational resilience principles.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional, multinational teams and engage executive stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic decision-making skills.
  • Capability to balance operational demands with cost-efficiency, risk control, and strategic planning.
  • Advanced academic qualifications such as an MBA or master's degree are desirable.
  • Must fulfill U.S. person eligibility criteria including U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or asylum/refugee status; must not be a national of restricted countries unless also a U.S. citizen due to national security restrictions.
