Role Overview

The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis acts as the strategic finance collaborator to the CFO and executive team, steering profitable expansion by leading company-wide financial planning, forecasting, analytics, and performance management. This position oversees the FP&A team while being actively involved in financial modeling, board communications, and partnerships across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CFO and executives to define long-term financial strategy, manage annual budgets and forecasts, and prepare materials for Board review.
  • Partner with leaders across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Operations, HR, Technology, and Professional Services to interpret financial outcomes into actionable insights and assess key investments.
  • Direct monthly financial reports, variance analysis, and creation of executive dashboards and KPIs evaluating financial and operational success.
  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models covering revenue forecast, SaaS metrics, service profitability, pharmacy and customer profitability, workforce planning, and cash flow to actively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Implement scalable FP&A processes and governance, automate systems for reporting and planning, and coordinate with Accounting to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a dedicated FP&A team, while enhancing financial understanding across the organization.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline; MBA and/or CPA credentials preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles in FP&A supporting executive teams and Boards.
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans for fast-growing companies and leading finance teams.
  • Experience in healthcare technology, pharmacy, SaaS sectors, especially within private equity-backed firms.
  • Proven involvement in acquisitions, post-merger integrations, and FP&A system implementations or optimizations.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, SaaS business economics, recurring revenue models, professional service profitability, and healthcare operations.
  • Excellent executive communication skills and capacity to simplify complex finance concepts for diverse audiences while influencing senior leadership.
  • Capability to integrate strategic vision with practical execution including developing executive KPIs and dashboards.

Compensation Details

The anticipated base salary ranges between $220,000 and $260,000 annually, adjusted for experience, skills, location, and equity considerations. The company follows applicable pay transparency regulations and provides equal employment opportunities regardless of any protected characteristic.
