Established in 2019, Veradermics, Incorporated (NYSE: MANE) is a publicly traded, well-funded biopharmaceutical firm dedicated to pioneering treatments for common dermatological and aesthetic conditions. As a dermatologist-founded company in a late clinical stage, Veradermics focuses on advancing its lead product candidate, VDPHL01, an oral non-hormonal therapy for pattern hair loss (PHL) affecting millions. Role Overview
The Vice President of Finance position serves as the chief operational leader of Veradermics' finance department during a critical phase of company growth. Reporting to the CFO, this role directs the FP&A team, establishing disciplined financial processes, governance, and organizational rhythms to support the company's shift toward commercialization of VDPHL01. The VP enables the CFO to concentrate on external strategies by coordinating investor relations, financial reporting, and internal finance operations with precision and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage the finance organization's structure, roles, and capabilities to smoothly evolve from clinical development to commercial launch and scale.
- Develop hiring strategies and identify gaps in talent, systems, and processes, collaborating with HR and leadership to address needs cost-effectively.
- Create robust planning, reporting, and governance frameworks with appropriate controls and data infrastructure tailored to company maturity stages.
- Build and oversee financial reporting infrastructure supporting investor relations, including earnings reports, KPIs, and management communications.
- Lead and strengthen internal operating cadence within finance, including accountability mechanisms and execution standards.
- Manage and mentor the FP&A function, driving high performance and capacity to grow.
- Ensure finance deliverables, timelines, and shared services operate consistently and transparently as the company readies commercialization.
- Oversee FP&A outputs including financial modeling, forecasting, scenario planning, and resource allocation to support commercialization efforts.
- Establish financial controls and processes for commercialization readiness such as gross-to-net accounting and spend governance, partnering with relevant departments.
- Act as strategic finance partner to R&D, Clinical Operations, Legal, and People Operations, aligning operational plans with financial goals.
- Drive continuous enhancements in finance systems and processes, including ERP optimization, to sustain scalability and efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA and/or CPA credentials are preferred.
- Over 12 years of progressive finance experience in biotech, life sciences, or specialty pharma industries, including leadership in FP&A or operational finance during high-growth or commercialization phases.
- Deep skillset in financial planning, long-term scenario analysis, and cross-functional business partnership.
- Proven track record establishing finance operational discipline, scalable processes, and coordinated team execution.
- Experience working closely with accounting and controllership functions supporting public company reporting and audits.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to drive accountability and navigate fast-moving environments effectively.
- Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to design evolving finance organizations to meet growth milestones and investor demands.

Location and Travel
