Vice President Finance

Overview

A mid-market services company is looking to expand its finance leadership team by hiring a Vice President of Finance. This important role reports directly to the CFO and provides senior financial oversight and leadership across the organization. The VP will manage daily finance operations and collaborate closely with business leaders to drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily finance activities, including monthly financial close and reporting processes.
• Partner with the CFO to lead enterprise financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
• Lead financial aspects of operating reviews, such as monthly business assessments, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
• Build and mentor the finance team comprising financial managers, analysts, and cross-functional business partners.
• Implement financial controls and ensure budget adherence, working capital management, and ROI analysis for operational investments.
• Serve as a trusted finance advisor to operating leadership to support business decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• More than 12 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably including roles as VP Finance, Finance Director, or senior controller.
• Experience in growth-stage service companies or private equity-backed environments is advantageous.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, planning, and operational finance functions.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is mandatory; CPA or MBA credentials are highly desired.
• Candidate must be U.S.-based and willing to travel when necessary.

Compensation

The position offers a base salary ranging from $225,000 to $325,000, supplemented by an annual bonus.
