Job description

About Sezzle

Sezzle is on a mission to help the next generation gain more financial flexibility. The company is reshaping how people shop by going beyond payments and pairing modern technology with interest-free installment options that make purchasing easier and more accessible. Sezzle is focused on more than processing transactions; it aims to change how consumers discover products, engage with brands, and complete purchases while helping merchants lift conversions and average order values.

As the company continues to influence the future of fintech and retail, it is building a fast-moving, innovative team committed to creating a shopping experience that feels genuinely valuable for both consumers and merchants.

The Opportunity

Sezzle is developing a next-generation consumer savings platform by connecting millions of active shoppers with exclusive offers from leading consumer brands.

The company is seeking a strong business development leader with deep networks across the consumer packaged goods industry to position Sezzle as a preferred strategic partner for brand-funded promotions, discounts, cashback programs, product launches, and shopper marketing efforts.

This is a highly outward-facing role centered on building relationships. Success will depend on your ability to open doors, earn executive trust, negotiate partnerships, and create a strong pipeline of offers that deliver real savings to Sezzle users while generating measurable business results for brand partners.

Unlike partnership roles that focus on account management, this role is primarily about originating new opportunities. It is best suited to someone who has spent years cultivating trusted relationships within large CPG organizations and enjoys building commercial partnerships that benefit both sides.

Why This Role Matters

Sezzle engages millions of consumers at a critical point in the purchase journey. Its payment platform, purchase data, and growing consumer ecosystem create a strong channel for brands to influence buying behavior, drive incremental sales, and offer exclusive savings directly to shoppers.

In this role, you will help build a new growth engine for Sezzle while also helping consumers save money every day.
