Job description

Role overview

This executive-level leadership position is responsible for directing major construction activity across several active regions in the United States. The role covers the full lifecycle of complex data center development work, from early planning and pre-construction through commissioning and final closeout. It carries direct accountability for capital deployment, budget control, delivery performance, and execution quality across a broad, multi-site portfolio.

You will work closely with internal teams, customers, and outside partners to keep delivery standards, schedules, and business goals aligned. In addition to managing senior construction leaders and project teams, you will help shape regional execution strategy, improve vendor performance, and drive ongoing operational improvements. This is a high-visibility position that combines strategic leadership with hands-on responsibility in a fast-growing environment.

Key accountabilities

  • Direct all construction operations across active regions, ensuring reliable delivery from pre-construction through commissioning and project closeout.
  • Coach and oversee construction directors and project teams, building strong leadership, accountability, and consistent performance across campuses.
  • Own CAPEX oversight, including financial control, forecasting accuracy, variance review, and adherence to governance requirements.
  • Guide the full project delivery process, including planning, procurement, bidding, contractor selection, execution, and handoff to operations.
  • Collaborate with development, finance, operations, and sales teams to align construction execution with customer and business priorities.
  • Manage vendor and contractor partnerships, including qualification, performance monitoring, and long-term relationship development.
  • Lead executive reporting, cost evaluation, estimating, and risk review to support portfolio optimization and leadership decisions.
  • Capture lessons learned and apply best practices to future projects to improve delivery quality, efficiency, and cost performance.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive construction leadership experience, with a strong preference for 15–20 years in large infrastructure or data center environments.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex, multi-site construction programs from initial concept through completion.
  • Strong command of CSA and MEP construction management.
  • Solid expertise in estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls for construction projects.
  • Proven ability to lead large distributed teams and coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-level stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational discipline, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving setting.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50–75%, with potential for additional travel depending on business needs.

Benefits

  • Competitive executive compensation aligned with experience and market standards.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverage.
  • Generous paid time off and paid leave offerings.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Employee assistance resources and wellness programs.
  • Optional benefits and recognition programs.
  • Training, career development, and leadership growth opportunities.
  • An inclusive, collaborative team culture focused on support and continuous improvement.
