Vice President - Commercial Logistics - Oceania

Position Summary

DP World is seeking an experienced Vice President for Commercial Logistics in the Oceania region. This senior leadership position involves spearheading the commercial growth strategy to enhance revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction while expanding the logistics market footprint across Oceania and the wider APAC region. The role demands a commercially savvy leader passionate about cultivating high-performing teams, forging strategic partnerships, and advancing the future landscape of logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement the commercial strategy for Oceania’s logistics sector, targeting profitable growth and market enlargement across diverse logistics services.
• Oversee P&L management to ensure attainment of revenue, margin, and profitability objectives aligned with long-term business goals.
• Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities including innovative logistics services and niche segments.
• Manage sales pipeline development, high-level strategic pursuits, contract negotiations, and major business acquisitions.
• Lead and enhance performance of teams in Business Development, Key Account Management, Solutioning & Tendering, Marketing, and Commercial Excellence.
• Establish and maintain senior relationships with key clients, strategic partners, freight forwarders, and industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate with regional and global leaders to generate cohesive commercial plans supporting growth initiatives throughout APAC.
• Direct pricing strategies, optimize service portfolios, and promote commercial excellence to maximize customer value and profitability.
• Drive capability advancement across traditional and emerging logistics solutions fostering competitive advantage and innovation.
• Work closely with operations, supply chain, and other functional units to deliver integrated, customer-focused solutions and flawless execution.
• Build, mentor, and motivate a strong commercial leadership team promoting accountability, collaboration, and customer success.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field; certifications such as APICS or CSCP are advantageous.
• Substantial leadership experience in commercial logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain solutions, or related multi-service industrial sectors.
• Proven success in driving revenue growth, expanding markets, and leading commercial transformations within complex regional businesses.
• Expertise in strategic sales leadership, managing tenders, RFQs/RFPs, contract negotiations, and key account management.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding including P&L oversight, pricing strategy development, and margin enhancement.
• Deep knowledge of supply chain and logistics solutions with ability to design value-oriented customer propositions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across multicultural and geographic contexts.
• Inspirational leadership ability to develop high-achieving teams, manage change, and deliver results in sophisticated environments.
