As Vice President of Business Development, you will be instrumental in expanding our relationships within the top 75 large pharmaceutical clients, leveraging your deep expertise in large pharma sales to drive growth and strategic engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Cytel’s Global Large Pharma Sales team, directing prospecting through deal closure.
• Develop and implement strategic account and sales plans tailored to the needs of global pharmaceutical organizations.
• Synchronize with commercial teams to create compelling proposals including RFP and RFI responses, bid defenses, and contract documentation.
• Identify customer requirements and position Cytel’s capabilities as the leading partner over competitors.
• Maintain robust client relationships with stakeholders across all levels, including executives and procurement.
• Represent Cytel at industry conferences and cultivate awareness of our offerings.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• A university degree is mandatory; advanced degrees are preferred.
• Demonstrated success with over 10 years in pharmaceutical sales focusing on clinical trial services and biometrics.
• Proven track record leading global sales teams within a CRO environment and exceeding sales targets.
• Deep experience managing the full sales cycle, engaging stakeholders from team members to C-suite executives.
• Strategic thinker with proven effectiveness in complex global organizational settings.
• Exceptional collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
