About the Role
This leadership position, based in the United States, presents an opportunity to significantly drive business growth and enhance market presence across a strategic region. As Vice President of Business Development, you will lead strategies to build high-value partnerships, mentor a team of professionals, and deliver measurable business outcomes. The role requires a combination of strategic planning, relationship building, sales leadership, and operational execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities, foster client relationships, and ensure sustainable revenue gains.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement comprehensive business development plans aligned with company growth objectives.
- Manage, mentor, and guide a team of Regional Business Development Directors and sales members.
- Take ownership of regional growth targets, revenue goals, and overall team performance.
- Develop sales strategies, operational plans, and measurable objectives to consistently achieve business results.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with potential clients, current customers, and strategic collaborators.
- Identify new market potentials and initiate programs to increase service adoption within focused industries.
- Develop detailed account strategies by assessing client needs, challenges, and opportunities for customized solutions.
- Oversee proposal creation, presentation development, RFP responses, and pricing strategies in partnership with internal teams.
- Work with operational departments to ensure smooth deployment and onboarding of new client projects.
- Set and track key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of business development and market impact.
- Collaborate with Strategic Accounts, Operations, Marketing, and other departments to synchronize growth strategies.
- Represent the organization at client meetings, industry functions, and partnership negotiations.
- Travel as needed to support client relations and expansion initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is mandatory; preferable fields include Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in business development, relationship management, claims or risk management, or a similar domain.
- Proven record of leading intricate sales cycles and growing enterprise-level client relationships.
- Experience managing high-performing business development teams.
- Strong knowledge of strategic account growth, partnership cultivation, and consultative sales methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present at executive levels.
- Strong negotiation, analytic, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Aptitude for interpreting market opportunities and converting business requirements into actionable growth strategies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business development technology tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred certifications include CPCU and/or ARM or participation in progress toward these credentials.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required by business needs.

- Annual salary range approximately between 150000 and 160000 USD, based on experience, skills, and location.
