Position Overview

The Vice-President of Business Development for Ingredients USA is a senior leadership role responsible for steering accelerated growth, strategic initiatives, and long-term success of Quadra's U.S. Ingredients division. This executive will be part of both the U.S. and North America Ingredients Leadership Teams, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Ingredients North America.

This position is ideally based in Illinois (Chicago), Texas (Houston), or California (Los Angeles), with remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead identification, evaluation, and integration of mergers and acquisitions aligned with Quadra’s strategic objectives in the U.S. ingredients sector.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence—including commercial, operational, cultural, and integration aspects—and formulate business cases for executive decision-making.
  • Drive post-acquisition integration ensuring smooth onboarding of personnel, suppliers, processes, systems, and client relationships.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and business directors to develop a competitive product portfolio tailored to U.S. market needs and aligned with broader North American strategy.
  • Identify new opportunities and trends in the ingredients market, fostering innovation and strategic supplier relationships.
  • Lead recruitment and development of the U.S. Ingredients team, cultivating leadership within the organization and fostering a culture of accountability and customer focus.
  • Serve as a senior representative of Quadra's Ingredients business, building strong partnerships with suppliers, customers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the Ingredients P&L by setting performance metrics, monitoring financial outcomes, and working with Finance on budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Science, or related field; MBA highly preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the U.S. ingredients industry or related sectors such as specialty chemicals or B2B distribution.
  • Proven success in M&A deal sourcing, leadership, and operational integration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. market trends, competitive landscape, and regulations.
  • Extensive network across suppliers, manufacturers, customers, and industry consultants.
  • Strong P&L management skills, with experience in strategic planning, scaling operations, and entering new markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license; willingness to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally including overnight trips.

Preferred Experience

  • Executive-level experience in distribution, manufacturing, or ingredient supply chains.
  • Experience in North America-wide cross-functional collaboration and U.S. market expansion.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate autonomously and make decisive senior-level decisions.
  • Strong skills in commercial, operational, and cultural diligence with risk assessment and value creation expertise.
  • Coaching and mentoring capabilities for leadership development.
