Job description
Position Summary
The role of Vice President in Asset Based Financing (ABF) Europe is based in London. ABF Europe is a well-established origination division providing asset financing and Asset Backed Securities (ABS) capital market solutions to a varied client base including banks and non-bank financial institutions. The business involves managing complex, distinct deals requiring thorough diligence and continuous monitoring.
The Mortgage Finance team primarily focuses on financing portfolios secured by real estate. Services include revolving credit facilities for non-bank mortgage originators, financing nonperforming loans (NPLs) and real estate owned (REO) assets held by private equity, as well as unsecured NPL financing for debt purchasers and private equity funds.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategy development and effective execution for the business.
- Lead and support deal origination, execution, and ongoing risk management processes.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to secure deal approvals and maintain smooth operations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree-level education or significant relevant sector experience.
- Demonstrated expertise using AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while ensuring ethical and responsible data use.
- Strong ability to identify key risks and creatively devise mitigation strategies.
- Innovative thinking applied to financial modeling and analysis.
- Highly developed technical and analytical capabilities.
- An understanding of macroeconomic and industry trends and their impact on the business.
