Venue General Manager - Food & Beverage

About the Role

SRG Hospitality, an esteemed restaurant group in Sydney known for its 15 unique venues, seeks a Venue General Manager to oversee the Food & Beverage division at The Langham Sydney, a prestigious luxury hotel. This role entails comprehensive management of The James restaurant, in-room dining, event and conference catering, and breakfast services, operating independently from hotel room and front office functions. The position reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage and carries full responsibility for commercial outcomes, guest satisfaction, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Full profit and loss accountability for The James, in-room dining, events catering, and breakfast services.
• Management of a diverse team across restaurant floors, banquets/events, and room service.
• Ensuring superior guest experiences across various settings, from intimate dinners to large conferences.
• Recruiting, developing, and managing the performance of leadership and F&B staff.
• Collaborating closely daily with hotel management to integrate F&B services with overall guest experiences.
• Delivering structured commercial and operational reports to the Director of Food & Beverage.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety, and liquor licensing standards.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience as a Venue or Restaurant General Manager at a high-volume, complex Sydney venue or an established hotel Food & Beverage leader in a luxury environment.
• Proven ability to manage multi-outlet F&B operations with strong commercial focus.
• Skill in leading teams across varied service modes, such as fine dining, events, in-room dining, and breakfast, while maintaining high standards consistently.
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities, comfortable engaging with senior leadership.
• A guest-centric approach with composure to uphold impeccable standards expected in a luxury hotel.
