Venture Building Consultant

Role Overview

Dhahran Techno Valley is looking for a seasoned consultant with strong deep-tech venture-building experience to help transform advanced lab-stage technologies into promising startup spin-offs. This role goes beyond advising from the sidelines: you will work directly with researchers and inventors to shape ventures, strengthen their strategy, and provide focused coaching throughout the build process.

Responsibilities

• Build and run tailored venture-development programs that move high-TRL research toward investable spin-offs.
• Step in as an interim co-founder or builder for selected groups, supporting IP planning, regulatory strategy, cap table setup, and early market testing.
• Coach technical founders on turning innovations into clear commercial propositions and preparing for institutional fundraising.
• Connect new ventures with corporate collaborators, early-stage deep-tech investors, and industry partners for pilot opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bring at least 5–7 years of hands-on experience in deep-tech or hard-tech venture building, incubation, or startup studio work, with a record of helping university or corporate research become startups.
• Have ideally served as a co-founder, leader, or early executive in a deep-tech company that has gained market traction, formed corporate partnerships, or secured venture funding.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of technology transfer, deep-tech investment considerations, and engagement with corporate venture capital.
