Job description
Role Overview
This position is suited to a forward-thinking vendor relationship professional who can oversee the entire vendor journey, including onboarding, qualification, ongoing performance tracking, and improvement planning. The role contributes directly to stronger supplier partnerships, better operational performance, and procurement support.
What You Will Do
- Handle the complete vendor onboarding process while ensuring all internal policies and regulatory standards are met.
- Keep vendor profiles, files, and records current and accurate in the ERP platform.
- Research the market to find, assess, and qualify new suppliers that match business requirements.
- Carry out market analysis to broaden the supplier pool and support competitive sourcing efforts.
- Review vendors on a regular basis by assessing performance, financial stability, and capability.
- Support supplier segmentation according to value, risk exposure, and strategic relevance.
- Develop productive working relationships with vendors to improve reliability and encourage continuous service enhancement.
- Work closely with internal teams to back sourcing plans and procurement activities.
- Spot supplier risks early and take action to resolve vendor-related issues effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is required, along with 4 to 6 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain functions. The ideal candidate should understand vendor lifecycle management and supplier evaluation methods, be comfortable using ERP systems and vendor databases, and bring strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
