About the Role
Join G4S Secure Solutions Ireland as a Vehicle Officer based in Shannon/Ennis, County Clare. This position offers an opportunity to engage in active site security and patrol with a reputable global security company. The hourly base salary is €15.41 with additional premiums including €3.44 per hour for Sunday shifts, €20 per unsociable hours shift, and double pay for bank holidays, all aligned with the ERO order. Working hours total 36 per week with shifts covering nights (7pm to 7am) Monday to Sunday and weekend days (7am to 7pm) or as scheduled.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security patrols to ensure safety of sites, personnel, and visitors.
- Operate and monitor CCTV and access control systems to identify and respond to threats.
- Manage alarms, incidents, and emergencies calmly and professionally.
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a strong security focus.
- Document incidents accurately and report suspicious activities promptly.
- Coordinate with emergency services when necessary to resolve situations effectively.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Valid full Manual Irish Driving License free of penalties.
- Possession of a PSA Security Guarding license.
- Completed screening and vetting covering 5 years of verifiable employment and personal history.
- Prior experience in security roles within Ireland.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to remain composed under stress.
- Attention to detail and proactive mindset with a commitment to high-quality service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Sharp observational skills to detect unusual behavior or potential threats.
- Excellent report writing and record-keeping abilities following legal and company standards.
- Familiarity with security technologies such as alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Capability to resolve conflict peacefully and mediate disputes.
- Competent in emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, and evacuations.
- Experience working cooperatively with team members and emergency agencies.
- Strong time management to balance patrol, monitoring, and administrative duties.
