Role Overview

We seek a detail-oriented Vehicle Inspector to join our operations team in Enfield, Nova Scotia. This position entails evaluating incoming cars for damages, cleanliness, and mechanical integrity to ensure they satisfy our high standards prior to reconditioning or sales. The role involves documenting findings, reporting deviations from quality benchmarks, and coordinating smoothly with other departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming vehicles, assessing condition and identifying mechanical or aesthetic defects.
  • Report any concerns or issues that fall outside the company’s quality expectations.
  • Operate vehicles safely by moving, starting, and parking them around the facility.
  • Record inspection outcomes using checklists and digital devices.
  • Work closely with reconditioning, detailing, and mechanical teams to expedite vehicle processing.
  • Troubleshoot minor vehicle problems as they arise.
  • Maintain organized workspaces and adhere strictly to safety protocols.

Candidate Profile

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow procedures.
  • Comfortable performing tasks outdoors under varying weather conditions.
  • Possess basic automotive knowledge or demonstrate eagerness to learn about vehicles.
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Experience driving automatic vehicles; manual transmission skills are advantageous.
  • Proficient with tablets and basic computer applications.
  • Dependable, collaborative, and proactive in a team environment.
  • Able to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours weekly with possible overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Past experience in automotive, logistics, or warehouse settings.
  • Familiarity with Google Sheets or similar digital tools.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
