UX/UI Designer – AI & Design Systems (f/m/d)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled UX/UI designer specializing in design systems and AI product design to contribute to strategic digital projects. This role focuses on crafting scalable enterprise applications, design systems, and AI-enhanced user experiences within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain extensive, scalable design system component libraries using Figma to ensure uniformity in desktop and mobile applications.
• Manage design tokens, UI guidelines, component documentation, and ensure accessibility compliance with WCAG standards.
• Create user flows, site maps, information architectures, and wireframes ranging from low to high fidelity.
• Design interactive prototypes that imitate application functionality to facilitate stakeholder reviews.
• Produce responsive, high-fidelity user interface screens tailored for enterprise software solutions.
• Innovate AI-infused user experiences, including design of conversational interfaces, prompt models, and workflows supported by AI.
• Design dashboards, analytics views, and sophisticated data visualizations for AI and business contexts.
• Leverage AI-assisted design tools to enhance design exploration, component creation, and asset generation.
• Prepare comprehensive design handoff documents inclusive of specifications, assets, interaction details, and CSS-related guidance for development teams.
• Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
• Conduct reviews and quality checks to detect and resolve discrepancies between design and final implementation.
• Drive ongoing improvements in product usability, user experience consistency, and design governance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Product Design, HCI, Digital Design, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience in UX/UI design, design systems, product design, or digital product development.
• Proficient in Figma and contemporary design workflows.
• Skilled in building design systems, component libraries, and comprehensive design documentation.
• Strong grasp of user-centric design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Experienced in crafting wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed UI designs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and within diverse, international teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to top-quality design output.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Skills

• Background in AI-driven product design, conversational AI, or generative AI interface design.
• Familiarity with design tokens, governance of design systems, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Experience with enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, React, and developer-oriented handoff procedures.
• Competence in designing dashboards, analytics, and advanced data visualizations.
• Knowledge of Storybook or similar component management tools.
• Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or equivalent product development methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams in international product environments.
• German language skills are advantageous.
