Role Overview

The USG Assistant and Report Writer will support sonologists and radiologists through all stages of ultrasound examinations, ensuring patient comfort, equipment readiness, and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist sonologists/radiologists by preparing rooms, guiding patients, and positioning them as required during ultrasound procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, communicate procedure details clearly, and address any concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Operate and prepare ultrasound equipment by performing setup, calibration, and following safety protocols to ensure precise imaging.
• Support sonographers during imaging by adjusting equipment settings, manipulating probes, and monitoring patient posture to capture clear, high-quality images.
• Accurately document examination details including patient information, techniques employed, and noteworthy findings while transcribing verbal reports from sonographers.
• Prepare structured, comprehensive ultrasound reports based on sonographer observations following established protocols; verify for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals such as radiologists and physicians by communicating relevant findings to support effective patient management and treatment.
• Engage in quality assurance activities ensuring compliance with industry standards, infection control, privacy regulations, and safety guidelines within the ultrasound department.

Salary Range: INR 12,000 to INR 19,000 per month
