University & Visa Applications Officer

About the Role

BTEC Universities and Institutions Admissions Services is an international student recruitment and education consultancy that partners with universities in Australia, the UK, Europe, and the UAE. The team is hiring a detail-oriented professional to handle student university and visa applications from start to finish, with particular focus on Australian student visa cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee complete university application processing for students within the partner institution network, including offer letters, condition tracking, and compliance with document requirements.
• Handle Australian student visa applications for subclass 500, including GTE submissions, financial evidence, GS assessment work, and health and insurance documentation.
• Monitor and manage visa applications for other destinations such as the UK, Hungary, and Italy, while following the specific documentation rules of each embassy.
• Communicate directly with university admissions teams and visa authorities to clear queries and keep cases progressing.
• Keep detailed records for every student file, proactively identifying missing documents, approaching deadlines, and potential risk issues.
• Prepare supporting paperwork such as cover letters, statements of purpose, and GS visa responses customised to each student’s situation.
• Work closely with the counselling teams in the UAE and Kochi to ensure a seamless transition from enrolment through visa approval.

Candidate Profile

• Hands-on experience with Australian student visa applications, especially subclass 500, is strongly preferred.
• Background in an international education consultancy, student recruitment firm, or university representative office is preferred.
• Practical understanding of GTE rules, financial documentation expectations, and common reasons for visa refusals.
• Exposure to the UK or European study visa process is helpful, though not mandatory.
• Strong English writing ability for preparing documents for students and immigration or embassy review.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage many active cases and overlapping deadlines.
• Candidates based in the UAE who can join immediately or with a short notice period are preferred.
