Job description

Role Overview

As a key leader within the delivery team, you will oversee all Youth Zone sessions on a rotating schedule, including every other weekend. The sessions cater to juniors aged 7-12 and seniors aged 12-19 (extending up to 25 for young people with additional needs). Your role is to ensure that the Youth Worker team is motivated and equipped to offer high-quality, inclusive, creative, and energetic sessions that correspond to the age groups.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of Youth Zone sessions, ensuring a motivating, inclusive, and high-energy environment for young people.
  • Collaborate across departments to continually improve inclusive program delivery.
  • Contribute to the strategic delivery planning for the Youth Zone.
  • Support the growth, recruitment, and development of the sessional delivery team.
  • Manage and support volunteers and youth leaders effectively.
  • Foster strong local partnerships that positively impact young people in the community.
  • Implement evaluation frameworks incorporating youth feedback to enhance program quality and youth progression.

Expectations for the First Year

  • Help the Youth Zone achieve 1500 weekly youth visits through vibrant programming.
  • Ensure all sessions have a well-planned, inclusive development program, planned three months ahead with youth involvement.
  • Develop and maintain a supportive, safe, and ambitious environment for young people and staff.

Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 30 hours per week, including evening shifts, alternate weekends, and Bank Holidays. The location is Warrington (Dallam Lane).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary ranging from £28,000 to £33,000 (pro rata) depending on experience and location.
