Role Summary
AbbVie is hiring a Unit Dose Compounding/Filling Contamination Control Operator (CCO) for its Westport, County Mayo, Ireland site. This position supports aseptic filling activities in the Unit Dose Compounding and Filling department and also assists the shift janitorial team. The role is based in a Grade C / Grade B environment and follows a fixed 12-hour schedule on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Key Duties
- Carry out gowning procedures for Grade B and Grade C areas.
- Support workplace safety and help AbbVie meet EHS objectives by following site and department safety rules.
- Complete cleaning tasks on daily, weekly, and monthly cycles according to departmental procedures.
- Restock gowning and scrub materials as needed.
- Carry out contamination control monitoring in the Unit Dose Compounding/Filling area each shift.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow strong documentation practices.
- Follow aseptic behavior standards in Grade B and Grade C environments.
- Perform triple cleaning activities.
- Complete all duties assigned by the Manager or Line Lead in line with SOPs and cGMP requirements.
- Stay up to date with revised, current, and new SOPs relevant to the job and department.
- Keep all mandatory cGMP and safety training current.
- Take on any additional duties assigned by management.
Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate has 2 to 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical setting, with manufacturing or cleanroom experience preferred. Strong computer literacy, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality are important, along with solid communication skills, teamwork, and a professional, focused approach.
