Key Responsibilities
- Drive expansion and enhance underwriting strength within the Financial Lines portfolio in New Zealand.
- Support the development and growth of the Liability business line, working alongside relevant teams.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with market participants to solidify Zurich’s leadership position.
- Engage in planning efforts, process improvements, and business development initiatives to support portfolio growth.
- Utilize underwriting technologies and data insights to inform high-quality decision making.
- Operate within established guidelines and deadlines to meet performance targets.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in underwriting or broking in Financial Lines, Liability, or related insurance sectors.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills paired with sound commercial judgment.
- Capability to manage insurance portfolios, make informed decisions, and work within defined frameworks.
- Proven ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Comfort and proficiency with using underwriting software, data analytics, and technology tools to aid decision making.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
