Underground Nipper - Bellevue Gold Mine

Position Overview

Barminco is seeking motivated and experienced Underground Nippers to join their team on a full-time basis at the Bellevue Gold Mine, located in Perth, Western Australia. This role supports underground mining operations through a 14/7 FIFO roster from Perth, contributing to safe, productive, and efficient underground activities as part of a dynamic mining team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Jumbo Operator by undertaking ground support tasks such as the installation of bolts and mesh.
• Prepare and set up job sites by lifting and loading bolts and mesh materials.
• Support the Jumbo Operator during all ground support operations underground.
• Perform pre-start inspections and checks on mining equipment and vehicles.
• Acquire crucial underground mining skills as a member of an experienced and supportive crew.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in physically demanding roles such as trades assistant, laboring, farming, or drilling offsider is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all site protocols and procedures.
• Possession of relevant operational tickets and licences, including certification for Working at Heights.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
• Fulfillment of site access preconditions, including medical clearance, Drug and Alcohol Screening (DAS), National Police Clearance (NPC), and a valid manual driver's licence.
