Role overview

The Hamilton team is looking for an experienced Ultrasonic Welds Level 2 NDT Inspector to provide inspection and advisory support to a wide range of industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out non-destructive testing inspections on plant, pressure equipment, and structural items.
  • Assist with shutdown work and maintenance-related projects.
  • Evaluate weld quality, corrosion, and mechanical flaws.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and compliant client reports.
  • Develop positive working relationships with clients and deliver a high standard of service.
  • Work in line with SGS procedures and applicable industry requirements.

Required qualifications and experience

  • At least 5 years of hands-on NDT experience in UT2 weld inspection is required.
  • Current AINDT or PCN Level 2 certification in UT Welds, MT, and PT is essential.
  • UTPA, TOFD, UT Nodes and Nozzles, and CWI certifications are highly preferred.
  • You should be able to interpret defects well and write thorough reports.
  • A strong eye for detail and a clear commitment to safety are important.
  • A full driver’s licence is required, along with willingness to travel to client locations.
  • Experience across multiple industries or in shutdown/project environments is an advantage.
