Role Overview

We are searching for an experienced Tyre Fitter to join our Curragh North coal mining project on a permanent basis. You will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and collaborate closely to deliver high-quality maintenance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Detach and install rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining machinery as required.
• Remove and replace tyres and wheel assemblies on heavy mining equipment as necessary.
• Conduct routine tyre pressure inspections, adjust accordingly, and communicate findings to the supervisor.
• Research technical data through manuals, bulletins, and electronic systems for maintenance tasks.
• Proactively address potential equipment quality issues by identifying, documenting, and recommending solutions via proper channels.
• Adhere strictly to all site-specific operational procedures.

Candidate Profile

• Experience as a tyre fitter within open cut mining environments, focusing on heavy earthmoving tyre fleet maintenance.
• Possession of a current AUR21920 Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing or AURKTJ011 & AURKTJ012 qualifications.
• Valid driver’s license; a Heavy Rigid (HR) license is preferred.
