About Thiess and the Role

Join us at our Lake Vermont Project in Dysart, North Queensland, as a Serviceperson within our Maintenance department. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll work a balanced 7 days on/7 days off day/night shift pattern to contribute high-quality maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various field maintenance equipment such as tilt-tray trucks, service trucks, boom-type elevated work platforms, and tool-carrier loaders.
- Carry out plant maintenance efficiently and safely, ensuring site maintenance schedules are met.
- Perform refuelling operations and support fitters as necessary.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards at all times.
- Complete general workshop duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a mechanical trade qualification or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as a serviceperson on mining sites is highly valued.
- Current RIISM212D or RIISM212E certification.
- Demonstrated expertise in the mining, heavy earthmoving, or hydraulic excavator sectors.
- Holding Standard 11 certification is advantageous.
- An HR driver's license is preferable.
