About the Role and Employer

Barts Health NHS Trust invites applications for the position of Trust Doctor, equivalent to ST1-ST2 level, specializing in Diabetes and Metabolism. The successful candidate will join a vibrant medical team delivering inpatient care at The Royal London Hospital, focused primarily on cardiology and respiratory medicine specialties. This role is scheduled to begin on September 30, 2026, and conclude on August 3, 2027.

Key Responsibilities

The appointee will mainly work in Respiratory Medicine with an opportunity to rotate to Cardiology starting February 2027. Responsibilities include providing inpatient medical care, participating in the general medical on-call rota which encompasses weekend and overnight shifts, and contributing actively to medical education and quality improvement efforts through audits and QIPs under consultant supervision.
