Trust and Safety Analyst, Egregious Harms Enforcement

Overview

The Trust and Safety team at Google is responsible for confronting key challenges that threaten the safety and integrity of its products. Utilizing technical proficiency, outstanding analytical thinking, keen user insight, and effective communication, team members protect users and partners from abuse within Google services such as Search, Maps, Gmail, and Ads. This role demands strategic thinking and teamwork to combat abuse quickly and maintain trust and safety standards globally.

Role Focus

As a member of the Non-consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII) Enforcement team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding user safety. You will navigate complex, global regulatory frameworks and shape enforcement strategies against NCII. The role requires building strong, cross-functional partnerships with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Service Delivery teams. It emphasizes innovation, organization, and analytical rigor to handle cases effectively while deploying scalable solutions that maintain safe user experiences across Google’s offerings.

Responsibilities

• Execute enforcement strategies concerning NCII policies on a global scale.
• Acquire extensive policy and product knowledge to create and refine enforcement procedures.
• Lead multifaceted projects that enhance abuse detection mechanisms and reduce user harm.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams across Trust and Safety, Product, Engineering, Policy, and Legal domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• At least 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, or analogous sectors.
• Proficiency in SQL, dashboard creation, data collection and transformation, visualization, or scripting/programming languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years working in Trust and Safety, product policy, privacy and security, legal, compliance, risk management, intelligence, or content moderation.
• Strong strategic mindset with ability to identify new risks and vulnerabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a talent for influencing stakeholders at various levels.
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and close attention to detail, particularly in dynamic environments.

Additional Information

The position may require reviewing graphic and potentially distressing content as part of fulfilling duties.
