About the Role
The YouTube Business Product Activation Team leads the introduction and growth of YouTube products across both partners and creators, working strategically with product and business leads to increase adoption and scale impact. This role plays a crucial part in shaping go-to-market strategies, prioritizing product activations, managing launch readiness, coordinating execution, gathering and relaying market feedback to influence product roadmaps, developing content strategy, collecting user insights, and monitoring performance metrics.
As part of the YouTube Shopping team, you'll engage with evolving video commerce trends that transform consumer purchasing decisions by connecting viewers with trusted creators and new retail opportunities. Shopping is a key priority within YouTube, creating fresh monetization opportunities for creators, innovative engagement for viewers, and new sales channels for retailers. The platform draws more than 30 billion hours of shopping-related video views annually, placing this role at the forefront of a significant industry shift. You will collaborate with global brands, retailers, and e-commerce platforms to drive success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead data-supported business strategies for YouTube Shopping focused on users, merchants, and creators.
- Evaluate competitor go-to-market approaches and design comprehensive plans across various shopping business models.
- Enhance operational processes by defining and monitoring Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), spearheading annual business planning, and overseeing program management for essential initiatives.
- Create and implement GTM plans, execute communication documents, manage experiments and Trusted Tester programs, and conduct quarterly forecasting.
- Collaborate closely with Regional GTM and Product Management teams to achieve business objectives and facilitate product adoption, while leading cross-functional projects involving diverse stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum four years’ experience in go-to-market strategy, business strategy, corporate planning, product marketing, category management, program management, or consulting.
- Preferred experience in e-commerce and managing projects in fast-paced, self-driven environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, especially in presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and delivering effective presentations.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills combined with excellent business judgment.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and experience in data analysis tools such as SQL.
Additional Information
Candidates may indicate their preferred office location between San Bruno, CA, and New York, NY. Compensation includes a base salary within the range of $124,000 to $177,000 USD, an additional 15% target bonus, equity components, and benefits.
