Role Overview
As a Treasury Officer, you will be responsible for managing Cuscal's financial assets and liquidity by performing precise and timely payment processing, investment operations, reporting, settlement activities, forecasting, and stakeholder assistance across multiple banking platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily EFT and RTGS payments for internal and client needs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with approvals and segregation of duties.
- Support investment activities including term deposits, managing confirmations, transaction matching, and settlement documentation.
- Create reports, dashboards, and settlement summaries that facilitate management decision-making, financial oversight, and adherence to regulations.
- Maintain treasury cash flow forecasts using historical and real-time data to estimate bank account inflows and outflows.
- Oversee and reconcile daily transactional product exposures with associated banks and settlement parties, including WBC, ANZ, and RBA.
- Address internal and external queries related to statements, account transactions, investments, settlements, and other treasury processes.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of three years' experience in banking or financial services, preferably with previous treasury responsibilities.
- Good understanding of settlement processes, focusing on transactional financial products.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel at an intermediate level.
- High attention to detail complemented by the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and varying workloads.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong customer service skills supporting a range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in investigating discrepancies, resolving moderate complexity queries, and escalating issues when needed.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Familiarity with accounting and general ledger software systems.
- A diploma or higher education in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Industry certifications or participation in continuing professional development initiatives.
