Pursers Travel Group, a family-owned business for over 25 years and part of 14 Helloworld stores in Queensland, is expanding. We combine the strength of a major brand with a supportive, community-focused atmosphere. We are currently seeking enthusiastic Travel Consultants to join our new Elanora branch.

Role Overview and Core Duties

• Responding to new inquiries, planning travel itineraries, making adjustments, and preparing quotes
• Arranging bookings for flights, tours, cruises, holiday packages, travel insurance, and more
• Coordinating with suppliers on communications, payments, and necessary documents
• Establishing and nurturing lasting relationships with clients
• Effectively cross-selling and upselling travel options to clients
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all stages of client interaction

Skills and Qualifications

For Experienced Candidates:

• Background as a leisure travel consultant, preferably in a retail setting
• Familiarity with Amadeus GDS or strong knowledge of airfares (not mandatory)
• Proficient office and administrative abilities
• Strong customer service skills, including in-person and telephonic communication
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Outstanding organizational skills and keen attention to detail

For Candidates without Direct Experience:

• Preferred sales skills and relevant qualifications
• Experience in demanding sales roles such as retail, real estate, hospitality, call centers, or B2B environments
• Proven ability to convert leads effectively in fast-moving settings
• Demonstrated confidence, enthusiasm, and a dedicated work ethic
• Motivation to learn, accept coaching, and develop a career within the travel industry
