Job description
Role overview
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The monthly pay is ₹30,000 to ₹50,000. Prior years of experience are not mandatory; the hiring focus is on strong judgment, refined taste, and precision.
About the company
The business creates tailor-made holidays for affluent Indian families across more than 60 destinations around the world. Its clients are typically accomplished people in their 40s and 50s who have already done the standard trips and now want something more thoughtful: the right villa in Tuscany, a chef who cooks in his own home, or a guide who knows which gallery to skip. The company handles only about 10 to 20 trips each year, and every itinerary is built from the ground up.
Growth has come almost entirely through referrals, which is possible only because each itinerary must be fully justifiable in its choices, sequencing, and every line of the costing sheet.
What the role involves
A Travel Consultant here takes ownership of the trip design process. You receive a client brief, sometimes broad and sometimes extremely specific, and turn it into an itinerary that feels obvious and well-fitted once the client sees it. The work is about understanding the real person behind the request, matching them with experiences they would not have found on their own, selecting hotels that suit their personality rather than simply looking attractive online, and collaborating closely with destination management partners around the world to bring the plan to life.
The role suits someone who can examine a five-star hotel website and notice that the lighting in the lobby does not suit the kind of guest the company serves. It also suits someone who spots a ₹2,400 mismatch in a costing sheet and does not ignore it, and someone who can reassure a client on a call without sounding like a sales brochure.
Key ownership areas
- Learn the client’s travel personality, including pace, comfort levels, and unspoken expectations, then convert that understanding into trip design decisions.
- Create the itinerary flow by deciding the trip rhythm, city sequence, duration in each stop, and which experiences truly belong.
- Select hotels and partners that match the client’s style and needs, rather than defaulting to generic luxury options.
- Brief destination partners clearly so they create for the specific traveller, and challenge weak or lazy suggestions when needed.
- Write proposals that feel personally made for one family because they are.
- Prepare and maintain exact costing sheets down to the rupee, ensuring the structure and arithmetic stay reliable even when margins are flexible.
What success looks like
You bring a strong sense of taste and can explain why one property is suitable while another with the same rating is not. You notice details others miss, from spelling and timings to visa checks and numerical accuracy. Your written English is polished, clear, and free from generic travel-language. You can comfortably speak with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, or have the maturity and curiosity to build that ability quickly. You think in structured, documented ways and leave no loose ends. You are genuinely interested in the world, pay attention to differences between places, and understand that cities such as Lisbon and Porto offer very different experiences.
What this role is not
- It is not for someone who treats travel as a simple transactional sale.
- It is not suited to a lowest-quote-wins, more-cities-equal-more-value mindset.
- It is not for anyone who mistakes luxury branding for real taste.
Compensation and growth
The base compensation is ₹30,000 to ₹50,000 per month, with meaningful upside for candidates who already have genuine experience in premium travel design. The role offers strong growth potential, and consultants who develop into senior positions may become trusted experts that clients request by name.
You will work directly with the founder on live trips from day one. There is no shadowing phase or filler work; the learning begins immediately, along with the responsibility.
Work location
This job is based in Coimbatore and requires full-time presence in the office.
